About Troop 319                                                                   

 

 

Troop 319 was chartered in October 1986.  We are located in Huntington Beach, California – beautiful Surf City!  We are part of the Orange County (CA) Council, Pacifica District.

 

Troop 319 is proud to count 117 Eagle Scouts from our ranks!

 

When We Meet:  First three Tuesdays of every month, 7:00PM.  We meet throughout the year except for certain holidays. 

  • The fourth Tuesday of every month is a parent committee meeting. 
  • Courts of Honor are held every three months; families are strongly encouraged to attend. 
  • Dues are collected every 2nd Tuesday

 

Where We Meet: During the school year, we meet at Edison High School, Magnolia St. South of Atlanta Ave., Huntington Beach (map).  We also meet during the summer at various local venues.

 

Activities: Troop 319 is boy-run with adult leader supervision.  Some of our activities include:

·         Monthly outings

·         High Adventure outings

·         Summer Camp

·         Troop and individual service projects

·         Participation in OA, Philmont, Jamboree

·         Merit badge classes

·         Fundraising activities

·         FUN!

 

Communication: Our troop shares information with its members via:

  • Monthly newsletter
  • Moderated email alias for announcements
  • Yahoo groups site for sharing documents and lists
  • Event photos are shared via Snapfish
  • We also have a Facebook page which allows scouts to interact using a method common to that age group. This is not an official communication channel for Tropp 319 but we do monitor it closely.
